Just imagine a world without computers for a moment.
I used to live in one of those and things were pretty simple then.
If you had a digital watch back in the day, it was probably the most technologically challenging thing you’d ever owned since your adjustable roller skates. Red, blue or green was the only choice you ever had to make and life was cool without any of this virtual nonsense.
I’ve spent most of the morning updating. I didn’t want to update, I wanted things to stay how they were, but I had no say. I wanted to tether but I’ve not been able to do that because I don’t have the latest something or other and I’m not in sync by all accounts.
I don’t have much say in things these days.
There was nothing wrong with the Snap Crackle and Pop days; they were fun and stress free. With or without sugar was the crucial decision of a morning and bits were in the orange juice before spoiled brats were even invented. They were real juicy bits too. There was none of this processed segment with pith filth in existence. This mass industrial orange revolution sucks and I no longer drink any of it.
I’m a peach girl now.
Hangovers were better back then too, with a choice of beer, wine or spirits. There was nothing wrong with that and we didn’t need Jägermeister or car bombs or what do they call those things? We used to call them chasers but they’re shots now and they’re not made of whisky any more.
What is cool though is this Mac and I can’t wait for you to get your new three dollar camera to play with. You’re going to have as much fun as me. I processed over a thousand photographs yesterday on iPhoto and I was well impressed with that. It would have taken me months, if not years in the Dark Room.
I’m hanging about here in town all day, waiting for a blue sky so as I can take a photo of the metal men. I’ve not captured them all at once yet, I never thought it could be done, but I’ve found the perfect spot. I have to wait a wee bit though because I think I need to update a little more before I go.
